Fourth Annual Earth Day Celebration

Join us for old-fashioned barnyard fun with visiting animals, including horses, chickens, goats, and Oliver the Pig. Guests will enjoy face painting, complimentary coffee or hot chocolate, learn about bees, and plant sunflower seeds in decorated pots. NEW! Naturalist and Audubon Master Birder Barb Masoner will share her expertise on birds, plants, and mammals. Help celebrate Earth Day at the Farm! $25 per family

Quincy Farm welcomes Cherry Hills Village resident Molly Thompson, mom of two and an early childhood education expert, to lead this joyful art experience. Young artists will transform wooden birdhouses into colorful, cozy homes for our feathered friends! Using vibrant paints and adding imaginative details like flowers, butterflies, moss, pebbles, and twigs, every birdhouse will be truly one-of-a-kind. These masterpieces make lovely Father’s Day gifts or can be displayed outside as cheerful reminders of a summer filled with creativity, art, and nature. HawkQuest Man with Hawk and children at Quincy Farm

It was a beautiful fall morning for all ages with live animal encounters and hands-on learning at Quincy Farm! HawkQuest’s birds of prey program featured a live flight demonstration with an eagle, owl, hawk, and falcon. We got an up-close look at fascinating invertebrates from Butterfly Pavilion, learning why biodiversity matters and how even the smallest creatures play a big role in our world. The wagon rides with miniature horses, Charlie and Tickles were a big hit!

Hey kids! Bring your binoculars (or borrow ours) and join us for a morning of birding at Quincy Farm with Denver Audubon. It’s always a wonder as we set out in search of our feathered friends at the Farm. We’ll take a peek at who lives in the trees and which feathered fowl frequent the pond, letting our senses come alive with the sights and sounds of these Colorado beauties. We all love getting outside with friends at Quincy Farm!

Young at Art: Horseshoe Craft
Julie Bennett, Cherry Hills Village Elementary’s Art Teacher, brought us a crafting workshop at Quincy Farm, combining creativity with a touch of rustic charm.  With a little imagination and some festive materials such as beads and paint, young artists transformed these iron wonders into magical creatures and hanging “good luck” decorative pieces. This craft highlights the importance of sustainability by upcycling worn objects into something unique, artistic, and enjoyed by all.

Big Barn Grand Reopening

Guests experienced HawkQuest’s live raptor presentations, getting up close and personal with a live eagle, hawk, falcon, and owl. They also met visiting chickens, a few adorable goats, and our favorite horse, Petey. Nature-inspired face painting delighted the kids, and everyone enjoyed delicious bites from Mile High Sliders, one of Denver’s premier food trucks. The Barn Stall Art Display, featuring local artists and presented in collaboration with the Cherry Hills Village Art Commission, was a highlight. Beloved naturalist Kate Hogan returned to the Farm to share her extensive knowledge of birds and mammals. Attendees explored the mini Kids Art Show, which showcased award-winning pieces from local school artists, and our youngest visitors enjoyed Story Time for kids.

Families joined Julie Bennet, Cherry Hills Village Elementary's art teacher, for a whimsical art workshop at John Meade Park, where imagination met the great outdoors! Using air-dry clay and vibrant paints, participants transformed natural finds into delightful ornaments or wearable pendants. Creativity blossomed in a fun, hands-on environment, and everyone took home a piece of nature’s beauty. Perfect for kids who love to explore and create!

Herb Garden Workshop

Cultivating your own potted herb garden
Held inside the newly renovated Big Barn! Guests joined us for the second installment of the gardening workshop series, where we explored the delightful world of herbs. Devon Hukill of Deep Rooted Garden and Design guided participants through the process of selecting herbs that thrive together and shared essential care techniques to keep them healthy and vibrant. From basil to thyme and everything in between, attendees learned how to cultivate a variety of herbs for flavoring and garnishing their favorite dishes. Each participant planted their own herb container to take home.
