Using air-dry clay and vibrant paints, they will transform these natural finds into delightful ornaments or wearable pendants. Big Barn Grand Reopening

Celebrate the grand reopening of the beautifully renovated Big Barn at Quincy Farm with a one-of-a-kind event you won’t want to miss!
Experience the thrill of HawkQuest’s live raptor presentations. Get up close and personal with a live eagle, hawk, falcon, and owl, and meet our visiting chickens, a few adorable goats, and our favorite horse, Petey! Enjoy nature-inspired face painting that kids will love, and grab a delicious bite from Mile High Sliders, one of Denver’s premier food trucks. Don’t miss the Barn Stall Art Display featuring local artists, presented in collaboration with the Cherry Hills Village Art Commission. Beloved naturalist Kate Hogan returns to the Farm to share her extensive knowledge of birds and mammals. Explore the mini Kids Art Show, showcasing award-winning pieces from local school artists. And our youngest visitors will enjoy Story Time for kids. Parking at Kent Denver for this event. Cost: $20 per family

Young at Art: Sun Catcher Wind Chimes
Quincy Farm welcomes our newest art teacher, Heather Welsh, from Greenwood Elementary. Join a crafting workshop on creating nature-inspired wind chimes that can hang in a sunny window or outdoor porch. Your young artist will create a beautiful collage of colorful nature items used in this awe-inspiring sun catcher wind chime. The sun will illuminate the vibrant colors of the flowers, and the wind will create delicate, peaceful sounds as the chime moves. This craft will delight the youngest and oldest at heart.

Join Julie Bennett, Cherry Hills Village Elementary’s Art Teacher, for a crafting workshop at Quincy Farm that combines creativity with a touch of rustic charm. With a little imagination and some festive materials such as beads and paint, young artists will transform these iron wonders into anything from magical creatures to hanging “good luck” decorative pieces. This craft will also highlight the importance of sustainability by upcycling worn objects into something unique, artistic, and enjoyed by all. $20 per family

This event will be held in the newly renovated Big Barn! Join us for the second installment of the gardening workshop series, where we dive into the delightful world of herbs! Devon Hukill of Deep Rooted Garden and Design will guide us through the process of selecting herbs that thrive together and essential care techniques to keep them healthy and vibrant. From basil to thyme and everything in between, you will learn how to cultivate a variety of herbs for flavoring and garnishing your favorite dishes. Plant your own herb container to take with you. Cutting Garden Workshop

Devon Hukill, of Deep Rooted Garden and Design, shared with us tips for the flower selection process, teaching us how to choose flowers that not only thrive in our gardens but also provide long-lasting beauty when cut. Participants brought their passion for flowers to the first of three gardening workshops and left with the skills to create a vibrant cutting garden.
Earth Day Celebration

Families joined us for old-fashioned barnyard fun with visiting animals, including chickens, goats, and Oliver the Pig. Guests enjoyed complimentary coffee or hot chocolate, learned about bees, and planted sunflower seeds in decorated pots. Naturalist Kate Hogan shared her expertise on birds, mammals, and reptiles. Everyone enjoyed fresh air and the beauty of the Farm.

Kids loved the afternoon of arts & crafts inside and around Quincy Farm’s Big Barn! Young artists took a magical walk with Julie Bennett, Cherry Hills Village Elementary’s art teacher, and explored the grounds, searching for natural "treasures" to be used in creating beautiful planter art. Kids used sticks, paint, yarn, beads, and more to decorate their planter pots, and played in the dirt, potting a real flower as well.

Kids brought their binoculars (or borrowed ours) and joined us for a morning of birding at Quincy Farm with Denver Audubon. It’s always a wonder when we set out in search of our feathered friends at the Farm. We took a peek at who lives in the trees and which feathered fowl frequent the pond and let our senses come alive with the sights and sounds of these Colorado beauties. We all loved getting outside with friends at Quincy Farm!

Our most popular summer family program with Denver Audubon made a huge splash! Families cooled off in the creek and discovered countless crawdads and other critters. What an incredible time we had at the live raptor demonstration at Quincy Farm! Families loved the engaging and informative encounter with the Raptor Foundation, Beautiful eagles, owls, and hawks flaunted their feathers and got up close and personal with curious kids and adults.

A Big Success!
Over 200 Cherry Hills Village residents and neighboring friends gathered at the Farm under clear skies and sunshine to meet the visiting farm animals — chickens, goats, Maui the Turkey (on loan from Carol Breeze), the Ebel’s horses Aspen & Hope, and Oliver the Pig!
There is no parking at Quincy Farm. Please walk or ride, when possible.
Parking is available at Kent Denver for this event. Follow the High Line Canal to Quincy Farm.

It was a lovely morning with Denver Audubon, who introduced our youngest outdoor explorers to 18 species of birds at Quincy Farm!
Dr. Mary Fran Park, Science Chair at Kent Denver School, led an insightful discussion about the importance of children in nature.
It was an evening to remember, as friends and neighbors gathered for a stomping good time at Quincy Farm. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported us!
